Dr. Jason Adams is a senior manufacturing and operations executive known for leading complex industrial organizations through cultural transformation, technical modernization, and sustained performance improvement. He currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of Atomic13 Extrusions, advancing a newly invented, breakthrough extrusion technology that enables higher quality products from recycled automotive scrap.
Previously, he was Vice President of Industrial Excellence for Vallourec North America, reshaping quality, engineering, and lean systems across five seamless pipe facilities serving the global energy industries. Before Vallourec, he spent nearly a decade at Norsk Hydro ASA in multiple vice president roles, driving world-class HSE performance, customer-facing quality leadership roles, major environmental carbon footprint reductions, and leading operational turnarounds ultimately running the largest single extrusion and remelting facility in the western hemisphere at Cressona, PA. Earlier leadership roles at NLMK, U.S. Steel, and Cleveland Cliffs further established his reputation for delivering measurable gains in safety, quality, cost, and productivity in the steel industry. He has taught practical classes to customers in steel metallurgy and manufacturing technology for many years to engineers and customers in the industry.
He is recognized for his technical expertise in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, disciplined organizational leadership, and a people centered philosophy rooted in safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Dr. Adams holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, a Doctor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering (hc) from UC Irvine, a Doctor of Management (hc) from the Swiss School of Management in Geneva, a Ph.D. (hc) in Leadership & OpEx from IAU and is currently pursuing a DBA with a concentration in Contemporary Manufacturing Leadership at South College, Knoxville.
