Alloy Systems

Materials,
Reimagined

Atomic13 expands what aluminum can be—by designing alloys around performance, not legacy chemistries developed by companies and associations during a distant historical era.

The Limitation of Legacy Alloys

Aluminum Alloys Were
Designed Around Constraints

Most commercial aluminum alloys were developed decades ago—optimized for the limitations of casting and the constraints of incoming scrap, not for the full potential of the material to ‘and offsetting those limitations through the addition of high cost, high carbon smelted prime aluminum.

These alloys are constrained by chemistry, inherent casting unavoidable anomalies governed by solidification thermodynamics, and force trade-offs between strength and ductility.

The Atomic13 Shift

Decoupling Alloy
Design from Historical
Constraints

Atomic13 changes how alloys are created by combining scrap as a programmable input, microstructural engineering, and integrated process control.

Our alloy chemistries are born in the remelt furnace and our material properties are microstructurally engineered through downstream shear deformation control.

A New Materials Design Space

A Broader Design Space for Aluminum

When microstructure is the point of control and upstream inputs are no longer constraints, alloy design is no longer confined to historical boundaries. This allows simultaneous strength and ductility, improved fatigue behavior, and application-specific tuning.

Alloy Families

Engineered Alloy Systems

Atomic13 develops engineered alloys customized to your specific application instead of relying on catalog legacy selections.

A13-6H, A13-6S and A13-7X represent performance-driven systems, not chemistry-constrained alloys.

Continuous Discovery

From Static Alloys to Continuous Discovery

Atomic13 integrates an AI-driven system to accelerate alloy discovery and optimization.

This transforms alloy development into a continuous optimization opportunity rather than a one-time selection event.

Customer Impact

Materials Designed for Your Application

Customers are no longer limited to predefined alloys. Materials can now be engineered to meet exact performance and manufacturing requirements.

REDEFINING MATERIALS

Expanding What Aluminum Can Be

Atomic13 is not selecting alloys from a specification list.

We are expanding what the specification can contain, essentially rewriting history for the modern world of precision material requirements – forging ahead into new and unchartered realms of material science.
